My name is Rosevera, originally from Ghana, West Africa and currently living in the Bay Area. My work is driven by a passion and love for babies, mamas and wellness. I've had the privilege of serving families as a nanny for over twenty-five years and along the way gained a deep respect and love for the mothers that trusted me to love and care for their babies and families. I have immense gratitude for my experience as a nanny, an experience that has taught me so much and allowed me to evolve beautifully into the birth of Simply Nurturing.
My Doula "Why" and Training... I attended "tea with the midwives " when my sister-in-law was preparing for the birth of my twin nephews, learned about doulas and fell in love with the heart and art of "doulaing". As a doula I love Creating a positive and calm space to help my clients feel safe, supported, and confident to focus on the very amazing work and experience of childbirth. I am trained and certified as a birth and postpartum doula; trained with Mama Center (The birth coach method) here in San Jose and also with The Matrona ( holistic doula training ), Cornerstone Postpartum Doula Training. I appreciate the privilege to be invited to serve women and their partner's during this very transformative time in a couple's life.
I enjoy... Spending quality time with family and close friends. I Iove taking day trips to Carmel and Capitola. I'm passionate about nutrition and believe in the effectiveness of using food as medicine. I'm fascinated by the physiology of the human physiology especially by the physiology of pregnancy, labor and birth. I Love discovering new foods and experimenting with recipes. I'm a bit obsessed with books, get excited about discovering new/interesting coffee/tea shops, love writing, music, singing...
I'm a committed lifelong student of women's health, nutrition, pregnancy and birth in order to bring the most relevant information and tools to the women I serve.
